
Formed in 2003, the Ratchaprasong Square Trade Association (RSTA) aims to develop and promote Ratchaprasong as one of the world’s leading shopping destinations. located in the heart of the city at the intersection of Rajdamri, Ploenchit and Rama I roads, Ratchaprasong is Bangkok’s shopping crossroads and a world-class destination.

Bangkok’s most vibrant district, Ratchaprasong’s one square kilometer offers visitors over 1,500 quality hotel rooms and 1,000 shops, restaurants, spas, shrines and clubs. It is easily reached by taxi or the ultra-modern, above-ground BTS Skytrain.
The RSTA is currently made up of 11 members:
Five businesses (Gaysorn Group, Erawan Group Public Co.,Ltd, Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, President Hotel & Tower Co.,Ltd and Maneeya Group) form Ratchaprasong Square Co. Ltd to develop the district into a world-class urban village
“Shopping Street” project launched to improve Ratchaprasong facilities and infrastructure by creating links between shopping and entertainment destinations, improving sidewalks, paving, landscaping, fencing, bollards and kiosks
The first Bangkok Countdown Annual Event and Street Decorations at Ratchaprasong launched with goal to make Rachaprasong key place to celebrate New Year’s countdown in Bangkok

RSTA signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) for the provision and installation of a closed circuit television (CCTV) system to provide convenience and safety for all customers and visitors to the Rachaprasong district with more than 20 million baht invested in the system that included 64 security cameras covering the skywalk and footpaths throughout the district. A control centre was officially opened in November 2007
RSTA ongoing development and preservation plan for Ratchaprasong district including physical improvements, maintenance and security enhancement
RSTA introduced its first Boarding Pass Program - the first program ever launched in Thailand that collaborates efforts of the highest number of participants, including over 300 shops/outlets in Ratchaprasong area and eight leading airlines
RSTA joined with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) for a pilot project to solve traffic and pollution problems around the Ratchaprasong district area
RSTA spent additional two million baht in upgrading wide screen, four million pixel security cameras located on the BTS skywalk at Ratchaprasong Intersection. The association also plans to install a wireless system and five additional CCTVs in the district, making the monitoring area to reach 45,000 square metres in total
Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok officially joins as a member of Ratchaprasong Square Trade Association (RSTA). There are currently total of 10 members participating in the association
