Many of Ratchaprasong’s 1,000 shops offer direct VAT refunds to anyone holding a Thailand visitor’s visa and not residing in Thailand, including over 100 shops at Gaysorn and CentralWorld alone! Tourists are eligible for 7% VAT refunds on purchases over 2,000 Baht. With minimum purchase of 5,000 Baht, fill in the VAT refund form at time of purchase, keep your receipt and claim a rebate from the VAT Refund Tourists Office desk at the airport. However, participating stores will assist you in with the VAT refund process and any other questions you may have. Please note: VAT refunds forms cannot be completed without passport details and purchase receipts.
